The body of missing 34-year-old Yong Jia Yein was found on Pantai Remis, about 50 KM from where she was last seen in Petaling Jaya.

Yong left her house in PJ with her Proton Iswara last Wednesday (January 29), the first day of the Chinese New Year. Her family members then intensified the search and lodged a police report on January 31.

In reports by China Press and Sin Chew Daily, the Kajang Deputy District Police Chief confirmed the discovery of Yong’s body in the Pantai Remis area, and the family of the victim has been informed about the matter.

However, since Yong’s body was discovered in Kuala Selangor, PDRM from the district will take over the case and they are expected to issue a statement soon.

Yong’s body was found in the area around 7 AM this morning (February 4).

PDRM released an official statement

In an official statement by PDRM in Kuala Selangor, the police said they received a report about the matter at 2 AM by a policeman on patrol, who found Yong’s body inside a Proton Saga at the parking lot. The car doors were locked and had to be pried open by a BOMBA team.

As of now, police found no criminal elements relating to her death and the case has been classified as sudden death. The body has also been sent for autopsy.

Earlier, Yong was said to have left her home suddenly at 10 AM on January 29. She responded to the texts in the family’s WhatsApp group the next day, and Yong did not say anything after that.

Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
