Patrons of Uncle Don’s outlets are being requested to get tested for the Covid-19 virus following the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) declaration of the UD SS2 cluster.
As according to MOH, out of the 40 people that have been traced and tested, 13 have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Uncle Don’s took to their Facebook page to keep their patrons and the general public updated on the situation, after they had discovered that staff members from the SS2 outlet and Solaris outlet have tested positive.
“It is with regret that the management of Uncle Don’s Restaurants has been informed that the staff at the SS2 outlet that has displayed suspected symptoms on 25 November 2020, is now confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19,” they wrote in an initial statement.
They later shared an update where two more staff members, this time from the Solaris branch, also tested positive despite not displaying any symptoms.
They have since sanitised and disinfected the effected outlets and have more sanitation sessions scheduled. They also assured their patrons that the teams at the effected outlets have been replaced with staff members that have tested negative.
“In the meantime, we ask that any of our customers who has visited our Solaris outlet between 20 November 2020 to 27 November 2020 to monitor themselves and to go for testing should they develop any Covid-19 related symptoms,” they added.
