The Malaysian influencer who sold mercury-containing skincare products revealed that she has started the refund process for her customers.
In her Instagram story on Friday night (March 7), @beautrice_mok, Beautrice assured the public that she would not evade any legal responsibilities and would also take legal action against those responsible.

Beautrice recently issued a public apology to her customers and said it was never her intention to cause harm and admitted that as a long-term user of the same product, she, too, was shocked when the Ministry of Health (MOH) banned the item for its mercury content.
The apology came after a group of Malaysian and Singaporean buyers complained of rare skin diseases and miscarriage as side effects of using the night cream.

In her Instagram story, Beautrice asked the public to give her some time to sort out the refunds and promised that she would constantly update her followers about the matter.
In another story on Saturday morning (March 8), Beautrice revealed that a total of 196 customers had received their refund. However, there was a setback.
Her WhatsApp account has been banned for unknown reasons, but she provided a different number to contact her for refund matters.
“In the meantime, I thank all the customers’ support and patience in this matter. To those who never failed to understand me, thank you.”

If you must buy a skin care product online, it is highly advised to refer to the official website of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) before you make your purchase, just as a safety precaution.
