In the case of an emergency, we’ve always been asked to just save what’s essential, i.e. birth certificates and important documents. This was not the case for this wife from  Yudong, Chongqing, China.

This wife chose to save her husband’s beloved Gundam when their house was flooding by breaking the window and retrieving her husband’s beloved toys.

The husband didn’t save the Gundam as he didn’t know how to swim so the wife demonstrated her extreme love for her husband and rescued his precious belongings. According to UNILAD, the figures that were saved were figures from Gundam, a Japanese military science fiction mixed-media franchise.

“Based on the water level warning line issued by the community, they thought it would not flood the second floor, but the water level rose. He can’t swim. His wife swims across the Yangtze River and assessed that the risk of stagnant water is not high and she has a life jacket, so she decided to save Gundam.”

The husband shared the video and captioned it as  “I will never let you down in this life” indicating his gratefulness for his wife.
