What would you do for your mother?

Two years ago, a man had to give up on his dreams of going on a beach getaway when he found out that his mother was diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney problems.

Muhammad Hasif, 28, had to struggle to pay for his mother’s medical bills over the past two years, reported Malay Mail.

Finally, in October 2019, he was able to save up enough to bring his mother on a 3 days 2 nights trip to Tioman Island!

In a Facebook post posted on 5th October, he said:

“Surprised mum with 3d2n vaction tickets to Tioman island. It’s better to make our mothers happy when we can afford to.”

That’s not the only thing that he surprised his mother with. He also bought a gold chain that is similar to the one his mother had to pawn about 2 years ago to support the family.

Upon seeing the chain, his mother, Mimah, got a little teary because the pendant on the chain was also similar to the one she had, which had a hibiscus engraving.

Muhammad Hasif told mStar,

“I’ve been meaning to replace it for awhile but I had no money, and it took time for me to find a pendant that had the same engraving. It wasn’t just my mum that got teary about the necklace, even I cried.”

He then divulged a little more background information by saying that the past few years had been tough on them as he was not able to hold onto a steady job.

But thankfully, the last two months were good to him as he managed to get stable income. Once he had a little money left from his monthly expenditures, he thought of doing something nice for his mother. He said:

“Alhamdulillah I got a permanent job since 2 months ago and have money left over. I then remembered that my mother told me she wanted to go to the beach because it’s windy there.”

When in Tioman, the duo did lots of things together, such as going around the island by bicycle and motorcycle, having a picnic on the beach and trying out the local food there! Muhammad Hasif recalled that when he gave the envelope containing the tickets to her, she cried tears of joy.

He thinks that the surprise that he gave his mother was not equivalent to the sacrifices that his mother has made for the both of them. He says,

“What I’ve did is not enough but I’m very thankful that I was finally able to help make my mother’s wish come true. I’ll do anything and everything for my mother.”

Awwwww, that’s such a sweet story! Aunty Mimah is so lucky to have given birth to a child like this!
