The son of Sariya Che Hin, 51, who was found dead, believed to have been murdered in a house in Kampung Sekolah Juru, Penang on Saturday, hopes that justice will be served for both his mother and adopted sister.
Mohd Noor Hafifi Hassan, 28, said he does not want the horrific experience his family endured to happen to anyone else in the future.

“I truly hope for justice. Not just for myself, but I ask for justice so that incidents like this don’t happen to others again.”
“I also really hope that everyone takes this as a lesson. The most important thing is family relationships, that’s extremely important,” he told reporters at the Al-Maarif Mosque Islamic Cemetery in Jeneri, Kedah, tonight (19 October).
Urged netizens not to speculate about the incident
Mohd Noor Hafifi, who works as an engineer at a port in Manjong, Perak, said he was shocked upon receiving news of his mother and sister’s deaths just after returning from work.
“As soon as I got the call, I couldn’t believe it. I immediately sent a message to my mother via WhatsApp, but she didn’t reply.”
Meanwhile, the bodies of Sariya and Nur Afrina Alisha were laid to rest at 8:30 PM.

Both victims arrived at the Al-Maarif Mosque compound in Jeneri around 7:15 PM before funeral prayers were held and they were buried.
On Saturday (18 October), Sariya, a kuih seller, and her adopted daughter, Nur Afrina Alisha Abdul Rahim, 11, were found dead, believed to have been murdered. Their bodies were discovered by Sariya’s husband around 7:30 PM.
Penang Police Chief Datuk Azizee Ismail stated that the victim’s husband, aged 57, has been remanded until October 25 to assist in the investigation.
