Pakistan has nominated U.S. President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent crisis involving India and Pakistan, Times of India reported.
The nomination came after Mr. Trump was asked on Friday (June 20) about the Nobel Prize. He said he should be awarded it for a variety of reasons, including his work on India and Pakistan and for arranging a treaty set to be signed on Monday to end hostilities between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.
Trump, however, stated that he will not win the Nobel Peace Prize no matter what he does, but claimed he should have received the prize four or five times.

The U.S. President also claimed to have played a key diplomatic role in several global conflict zones, including India–Pakistan and the Congo–Rwanda crisis.
“They should give me the Nobel Prize for Rwanda, and if you look—the Congo, or you could say Serbia, Kosovo, you could say a lot of them,” Trump said.
In a Truth Social post, Trump also said he won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the war between India and Pakistan, for stopping the war between Serbia and Kosovo, and for maintaining peace between Egypt and Ethiopia.
“I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do including Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Iran, whatever those outcomes may be—but the people know, and that’s all that matters to me!”
