“I haven’t eaten for 3 days” – M’sian Student Takes RM7.55 from Mosque Donation Box, Vows to Repay It Soon

A handwritten note left by a student has gone viral on social media after they admitted to “borrowing” some money from a mosque’s donation box.

According to the note reshared on a Facebook page, the student took RM7.55 after going several days without food.

“I haven’t eaten for 3 days”

The heartbreaking note revealed that the student didn’t take the money out of greed, but simply to fill their empty stomach after going three days without food.

They explained that they had no money to buy food and promised to return the amount soon.

“Assalamualaikum, everyone. I borrowed RM7.55 from the mosque donation box. Sorry, I haven’t eaten for three days because I have no money.”

“InshaAllah, I will repay it soon. I am a student at this college. Thank you. May Allah bless all of you. Pray that I stay strong,” the note read.

The note garnered outpouring reactions from netizens

The post quickly drew an outpouring of reactions online, with many expressing their sympathy toward the student’s situation, according to Kosmo!.

Some even saw the act as proof that there are still people who hold on to the value of honesty, even in times of hardship.
