Creepy crawlies earned their name for a reason due to their unsettling and eerie nature.

In a recent viral TikTok video, @shira.nz perfectly captures the spine-tingling encounter with an unexpected centipede in Bukit Bendera.

In an interview with WORLD OF BUZZ, Shira shared that she and her co-worker were on an outstation trip in Penang. Assuming it would be less crowded on a weekday, they headed to Bukit Bendera.

To their surprise, the place was bustling with people, leading to an unexpected hour-long wait and adding to their discomfort, the weather was unfavorable with pouring rain that day.

While waiting in the queue, they decided to go live on TikTok. During the live session, a fellow in the line warned them to watch their feet. Confused at first, Shira realized there was a huge centipede on the floor, sending everyone into panic mode as they tried to evade the unexpected visitor.

The chaotic situation even led to accidental bumps and shuffles among the queueing crowd.

“If I’m being honest, I was panicking too because I didn’t want to get bitten.”

And, of course, the comments from netizens take the cake.

“I went hiking at Bukit Bendera and saw an even bigger centipede. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.”

“I had a similar experience at Bukit Bendera, except a frog jumped on my foot. Of course, I ended up screaming, which drew a lot of attention from other people.”

“Hurry, everyone, make a run for it.”

Fortunately, a kind stranger behind them stepped in and heroically removed the centipede, saving the day and ensuring a friendlier outcome for all.

In the end, it’s a friendly reminder to keep an eye out for creepy crawlies wherever you are. After all, it’s not every day you get to see a random stranger taking one for the team.
