A woman recently shared an incident she witnessed involving an elderly woman who she claimed was abusing a boy around 1 year old in public at Taman Daya, Johor.
In a Facebook post, Yumikoo Loveyou recounted that while getting out of her car to have breakfast with her family, she saw the elderly woman repeatedly pinching the child and allegedly striking him with her slipper.

A Malaysian woman confronted an auntie who was seen abusing a toddler
Witnessing the incident, Yumikoo decided to step in and confront the auntie, as she couldn’t stand by and do nothing after seeing a child treated that way.
“The moment I got out of my car, I saw an auntie repeatedly pinching the toddler. She even hit him hard with her slipper. I immediately shouted at her, ‘You’d better stop, or I’ll report you to the police!’ She replied, ‘Go ahead, report,'” Yumikoo wrote.
Despite Yumikoo’s attempt to intervene, the auntie ignored her and continued scolding the crying child.
“She didn’t seem to be a relative. I believe she was a nanny, as she was handling two children while eating. My friend also told me the child had been crying for a long time and that the abuse had been ongoing,” she added.
“The auntie slapped and dragged the boy along the road toward her car”
The altercation later caught the attention of another passerby, Kak Fa, who intervened by picking up the toddler, placing him in the auntie’s car, and managing to calm him down.
Yumikoo’s husband then called the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), who arrived at the scene shortly after. Following the incident, Yumikoo’s husband and Kak Fa decided to file a police report and gave their statements.
“Everyone at the coffee shop gave statements, and my husband and Kak Fa went to the police station, where they both gave their statements. Kak Fa later told me that even before I confronted the auntie, she had been abusing him repeatedly.

According to the police report, the auntie also slapped the boy multiple times and dragged him along the road toward her car.
“This is exactly why I hate uneducated elderly people handling babies or children. They always think abuse will make kids ‘strong.’ Children remember trauma for life. Child abuse is not discipline, and staying silent only protects the abuser,” Yumikoo added.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Yumikoo urged all Malaysians not to hesitate to take action if they witness similar situations, especially when it involves abuse.
“Please don’t be afraid to step in if you see a child being abused around you,” she said.
