A man in Ipoh was caught taking upskirt photos inside a shopping mall, not long after another man in Bukit Bintang, KL was arrested for a similar act.
In the incident on Sunday (June 15), Facebook user Krystal Yau said her younger sister noticed the man allegedly withdrawing his phone from under her skirt. When confronted by her boyfriend, the man denied taking upskirt videos of her.

The boyfriend suspected the man was lying, so he swiftly grabbed his phone and forced the man to reveal the password.
He then found the phone gallery filled with upskirt videos and photos of women’s chests.

Fortunately, one of the female employees of the shop offered to call the police, and the security guard also helped to make sure that the man did not flee the scene. According to Krystal, the employees said that they had seen the man many times in the area, but they initially thought he was looking for an opportunity to steal.
When interrogated, the man explained why he “enjoyed” taking indecent pictures of the opposite sex.
He claimed to have an illness that renders him unable to stop himself from taking inappropriate pictures of women.

In her viral post, Krystal urged everyone to watch out for anyone with ill intentions and reminded people to report the person so that they won’t escape justice.
At the time of writing (June 18), PDRM in Perak has yet to release a statement on the matter. However, according to Oriental Daily, Ipoh Chief Police, Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, confirmed that the man has been arrested and will be remanded until June 18.
The man who was caught taking upskirt photos in Bukit Bintang had 500 GB of indecent videos and pictures in his phone gallery. Stay tuned as we keep you updated on both matters.
