After a prolonged silence, the case involving the acid attack on national footballer Faisal Halim has finally seen a development. The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) recently officially classified the case as “No Further Action” (NFA).
This decision reportedly follows an extensive police investigation that, despite being described as “exhaustive,” failed to identify any suspects.

Following the decision, national footballer Faisal Halim has said that he would like to keep moving forward and focus on his career, despite feeling conflicted over the investigation into the acid attack incident.
“As the victim, I am disappointed. What’s done is done. I just really hope I’ll be given the chance to return to football.”
“If I’ve done anything wrong, just tell me. Don’t treat me unfairly. As far as I know, I haven’t wronged anyone,” he shared.

“If I’ve made a mistake, let me know instead of doing this to me. I have a family to support and a career I’ve worked on since I was young,” he added.
“All I can say is, I accept this with an open heart. This is my chance to return to football. I just want to focus on my career. I don’t want to think about the case, the NFA, or anything else. That’s the police’s job.”
“I’m not even sure if I can accept this or not. I just want to focus on my career,” he said while sharing his experience with fans in Mengkuang Titi, Penang, earlier today (May 10).
