In the latest spin-off from The Conjuring universe, Annabelle: Creation is admittedly one of the best movies from the franchise so far as it has received mostly positive reviews for being one of the “scariest movies in 2017“. In fact, it was allegedly so scary that South Korean moviegoers apparently peed their pants after watching the movie. Got so scary or not?
Anyway, apparently Annabelle just won’t stop scaring people because according to Daily Mail, a Brazilian woman in her 20s got so terrified by the movie that she became hysterical. The unidentified woman was watching a late-night screening of the movie when she ran out of the cinema in Teresina, North Brazil.
Her friends said that she started acting weirdly after the show at around midnight on Friday. A video clip was uploaded, which depicted the woman lying on the floor of the shopping mall, screaming and coughing uncontrollably. She became more distressed and even started punching herself in the face. Whoa girl, chill!
One of her friends who was there said she was really uncomfortable and nervous during the movie’s climax. She said, “It was at the moment when the devil appeared. When the film ended, we went to pay the car park and she started hitting herself with punches to her own head, and threw herself on the floor. Other people in the shopping centre got together to try to control her, I became really scared.”
Fearing for her safety, emergency services were alerted of the scene after her friends tried unsuccessfully to calm down the hysterical woman. They were forced to use a wheelchair to take her away to the hospital nearby in Piaui. However, the shopping mall said they still could not determine the cause of the woman’s distress as the woman herself couldn’t explain what happened.
