Back by popular demand, the Sime Darby Property New Year Festival is back again in the City of Elmina, with its biggest edition ever featuring over 25 exciting activities!
That’s right! This year-end, Malaysians can visit the City of Elmina to check out not one.. not two.. but 25 different attractions! From touring the four seasons to getting on a hot air balloon ride and even enjoying live music, they’ve got something for everyone to enjoy! Happening for two days only, let us walk you through some of the exciting attractions that will await you there.
A celebration beyond times, places and cultures
1. Beyond 50 Experiential Tunnel

Ever wished you could go on a journey through time? Then your wish might just come true! This unique attraction allows Malaysians to travel through the past five decades (hence, the name!) with Sime Darby Property and see the future of homes via an immersive and eye-catching audio and visual journey. There will even be an art and lights projection show, so make sure to get your cameras ready!
2. 4 Seasons Around The World tour
To all wanderlusts out there, get ready to immerse yourself in a quick tour around the world by experiencing four different seasons at once! The four seasons will be represented by different scenic countries, namely:
- Summer Dreams in Morocco
- Autumn Colours of Korea
- Vivid Spring in Netherlands
- Winter Wonderland in Finland
And in case you’re wondering, the four ‘countries’ are the perfect Instaworthy background for your OOTD, so make sure you’re decked out in your best outfit!
3. Hot air balloon rides
Fly high and create some memories in the sky by going on a hot air balloon ride with your loved ones! This exciting ride will definitely kick off your year on an adventurous and memorable note.
However, do note that the hot air balloon rides are subject to T&Cs by the organizer and on a first come first served basis, so be sure to get there early to get a good chance!
4. Take a well-deserved break at Glamping Rest Huts
We get that sometimes, we need a little rest-and-recharge session when having fun too. That’s exactly why Sime Darby Property prepared a chill Glamping Rest Huts area, where attendees can kick back and relax to recharge themselves and continue having fun!
Even though the huts are limited, there are also ample green lawns throughout Elmina Central Park! Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic mats to maximize their outdoor F&B experience.
5. Appreciate nature while learning about biodiversity
For those whose definition of having fun includes the love of peace and nature, the festival has something special in store for you too! You can find a few nature-related activities here such as:
- Watching free-flight birds
- Riding on a horse wagon
- Petting zoo
- Audio-guided tree nursery tour
6. Adventure and amusement park rides
Meanwhile, for those who prefer adrenaline-inducing adventure rides, then you’ll be glad to know that the venue will have numerous adventure and amusement park rides, such as:
- Merry-go-round
- Flying chairs
- Wall climbing
- Flying fox
- Paddle go kart
- Paddle boat …and many more!
7. Satiate the foodie in you with a variety of food choices
Good times will never be complete without some good food! The event will feature various food choices that’ll satisfy every type of foodie out there! Some of the food offerings you can expect include:
- Finnish meatballs
- Korean fried chicken
- Dutch Coffee
- Moroccan skewers …and many more!
8. Give back to society through a donation drive
In solidarity with communities that are affected by the flood nationwide, Sime Darby Property wishes to give back to society by setting up a fund-raising drive at the festival. Visitors can do their part in helping the affected communities by placing their donations at the designated booths. Plus, all proceeds from the sale of event goodies will also be channelled towards flood-stricken households.

Want to know the best part about the party? Entrance is FREE for all! So you can drop by anytime to immerse yourself in the festivity, while we welcome a brand new year filled with exciting opportunities! The details of the event are as follow:
- Date: 31 December 2022 – 1 January 2023
- Time: 4PM onwards
- Venue: Elmina Central Park
*Do note that free entrance does not apply to F&B, as well as selected games and activities.
If you’re worried about missing out on some attractions (because there are so many!), don’t worry! There will be several shuttles roaming around the event to conveniently bring you to designated attractions or parking spots.
Apart from that, Sime Darby Property is also making conscious efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, by opening partial car-free zones throughout the venue. So, if you’d like to reduce the amount of walking you’ll be doing there, you’re encouraged to bring your own bike or electric scooter for a fuss-free time at the party. Don’t forget to bring an umbrella and be dressed in comfortable clothing!
