After performing for 11 nights in Singapore, Hong Kong legendary singer Jacky Cheung is finally performing in Malaysia, saving many of us the trip (and money) to visit the neighboring country!

Jacky is scheduled to perform in KL for a total of 6 nights, from August 11-13, and August 18-20. Many concertgoers have praised Jacky’s performance but after days of singing in front of the crowd, one might wonder if Jacky gets fatigued from all the shows. Just last night (August 13), during his 3rd night of the show, Jacky accidentally slipped and fell on the stage.

He “sat” on the stage after his fall but fortunately, Jacky proved to the world that he still has what it takes to perform despite the fall. He immediately stood up and continued singing as if nothing happened.

A man who worked behind the scene can be seen rushing towards Jacky to pick him up but before he could do so, the veteran singer was already up on his feet singing to the audience.

The audience also showed their support. Some couldn’t contain their shock when the singer fell and many of the fans who witnessed the fall continued to sing along despite a short pause from Jacky who was trying to get up. The audience kept singing despite Jacky’s few seconds of silence.

The video was shared on the Chinese social media, Weibo and it was also said that prior to the show last night, Jacky had reminded the organisers about his health condition and he MIGHT ask to stop the show halfway. The organisers got him some medication and even suggested Jacky delay the show, but he did not want to disappoint the fans despite feeling a little headache.

“They’re already here, let’s not disappoint them.”

“He doesn’t look and act like his age, and it’s impressive.”

On Weibo, many Malaysian netizens had mixed emotions to see Jacky perform despite his condition and age.

“He felt dizzy and yet it did not change his voice. He could still sing well even after standing up. It’s heartbreaking and yet impressive.”

“This is amazing. He doesn’t look and act like his age, and it’s impressive.”

“If it wasn’t for this video, I wouldn’t know what happened. He’s 62 and he has been performing for days now, but he is still in good condition. Just how many singers out there can actually do this? Rest well Jacky before you return to HK.”

“It doesn’t feel good. It feels like you’re going to throw up when you’re on your feet, but Jacky managed to pull it off.”

“Impressive. His physical condition and voice were still top-notch, and this is what you get for taking good care of yourself.”

You can watch the clip below, and another clip by Sin Chew with a clearer perspective.

Jacky is 62 this year and for someone his age, it’s impressive that he still has what it takes to perform for a few nights in a row. We wish him a speedy recovery and to those who attended his show last night, what did you think of it?
