As if death alone is not terrifying enough, some murderers see the need to carry out their crimes in an inhumane way.
Just yesterday (24 February), Hong Kong model Abby Choi was found dead in a rental unit in Hong Kong’s northern Tai Po district. Eerily, Abby’s corpse was not complete.
Her head was missing and has yet to be found by the police. The police described the crime scene as a “slaughterhouse”, and they found parts of Abby’s incomplete body in the refrigerator. But that was not all.
A meat slicer and an electric saw were also found at the scene. Additionally, soup pots containing human tissue were also found at the crime scene.
Just today (February 25), Superintendent Alan Chung told the media that the authorities are still in the midst of locating Abby’s severed head. In the meantime, the police have managed to apprehend 3 individuals for further questioning- the parents and the brother of Abby’s former husband.
Her former husband himself, who is one of the main suspects in the murder, remains at large, as reported by CNN.
According to a report by AFP, the motive of the murder has yet to be determined, but it’s believed to be caused by the financial dispute between Abby, who was only 28 years old and her ex-husband’s family, which involved a large sum of money.
“Someone was not happy with how the victim handled her assets, which could be the motive of the murder,” the police said.
On Wednesday (February 22), Abby was reported missing and she had not been seen since Tuesday. She was said to be last seen with her ex-husband, who is also working as her driver.
What could possibly be the conflict that prompted such a gruesome murder? We hope that the murderer will be caught soon.
