A recent video has been circulating online showing a heated altercation at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand involving a national athlete.
In the clip, Malaysian officials and coaching staff can be seen rushing toward the judges’ table following the conclusion of the women’s Class B (50–55kg) quarter-final.

Points were not awarded to Malaysia by the referees, sparking protests from athletes
The Pencak Silat event has once again drawn attention after the atmosphere turned chaotic when the Malaysian team protested the judges’ decisions.
The match, featuring Malaysia’s Nor Farah Mazlan against Thai athlete Chongthima Rueanthong, took place yesterday (15 December) at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.
According to TVSarawak, it was reported that Farah appeared more aggressive, frequently launching effective attacks that should have earned points for Malaysia.

However, several of her attacks were allegedly not awarded points by the referees, raising questions about the transparency and consistency of judging throughout the match.
The Malaysian coaching team voiced their dissatisfaction with the judging, particularly over points they felt did not accurately reflect the action in the ring.
