Malaysia recorded an all-time high in the number of Covid-19 cases today, 691 positive cases with 688 local transmissions and 3 imported cases. We also recorded four deaths today.
In his live updates today, Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham confirmed that one of the deaths (140th death) was a one-year-old male baby from Semporna, Sabah.
The baby passed away at Hospital Semporna today, 6 October, at 4.25 pm. Other deaths were recorded at Sandakan, Semporna and Penang. The baby was brought to the hospital on 1 October and his situation worsened until he required a breathing aid. The baby was confirmed positive on 5 October.
