There are 21 new positive cases in Malaysia today (17 September) as of 5:01pm, bringing the total number of cases to 10,052 cases, according to Malaysia’s Ministry of Health. There are currently 674 active cases.
There are eight cases in Sabah, two from Kluster Benteng. In Kedah, there are seven cases today, six from Kluster Sungai. Out of the 21 cases, 16 are local transmissions and there are five imported cases.
A new cluster named “Kluster Selamat” is found in Semporna, Sabah.
15 cases have been discharged today and the total number of patients discharged since February is 9,250 cases.
There is no addition of death cases today, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Malaysia remains 128 cases.
