“Some said he was carrying drugs. Stop it. He was protecting other people’s lives to earn a living for his wife and children.”
The friend of a bodyguard fatally shot inside a car near the Port Dickson toll in Negeri Sembilan spoke out against all the allegations aimed at the deceased.

In the fatal shooting that took place on 10 December (Wednesday) at around 7:30 AM, the bodyguard, Azrul Fariz Kamarul Baharin, was pronounced dead at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar at 12:50 PM on the same day.
His friend, Nizam Hashim, who works in the same profession, called for the speculations to stop
“You’re not only hurting his family, but also his friends,” Nizam said.
He mentioned that in the nearly 15 years he had known Azrul, he had always shown true dedication to his responsibilities.
“We didn’t ask for this to happen, but this is the job of a bodyguard. If the boss doesn’t die, we will, like what happened to my friend, because we aim to protect the life of our employer.”
Nizam also highlighted that in this incident, Azrul protected his employer until the end of his life. He added that the deceased was a good friend and was not only responsible for his family, but also very concerned about his friends.

“He only thought about earning a living for his family”
Nizam added that Azrul’s wife informed him that Azrul had applied for time off to attend his 12-year-old son’s school awards day this Saturday. Sadly, what is meant to be a happy moment will no longer happen.
“Our work is high-risk, but the deceased only thought about earning a living for his family, and this is how he ended up. So I really ask you not to say anything,” Nizam said, as reported by Sinar Harian.
Yesterday, two suspects in the fatal shooting were arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), with a third suspect arrested later that day.
