The Malaysian Government saw a major reshuffle, and during his live address announcing the changes today (16 December), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed the all-new Cabinet line-up.
Notably, Hannah Yeoh is no longer the Minister of Youth and Sports, with Mohammed Taufiq bin Johari, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sungai Petani, replacing her in the position.

Yeoh is now the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories)
Yeoh, who was appointed as the Minister of Youth and Sports (KBS) in December 2022, will replace Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, who previously held the position.
Previously, Yeoh was also the Deputy Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development from July 2018 to February 2020.

Adam Adli, who was KBS Deputy Minister, was also reshuffled to the Ministry of Higher Education as the Deputy Minister.
Ministers and Deputy Ministers dropped by Anwar
Another notable change in the reshuffle is the Prime Minister dropping Yeoh’s predecessor in the Federal Territories portfolio, Datuk Seri Zaliha Mustafa, from the Cabinet altogether.
Dato’ Setia Mohd Na’im Mokhtar was also dropped from the Cabinet. He previously held the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) position.
