While only selected cinema locations are expected to be opened, GSC took the liberty of sharing the eagerly anticipated films that will be screening this month in conjunction with their re-opening. Among the movies that will be available are:

  • Raya and The Last Dragon
  • Demon Slayer Mugen Train
  • Stand By Me Doraemon 2
  • Monster Hunter
  • Don’t Look Back
  • The Con-Heartist
  • Godzilla vs. Kong
  • End Game
  • MASTER

and many other films! As always, SOPs will have to be adhered to and physical distancing to be maintained in order to ensure the safety of customers as they re-enter the movie halls for the first time in months.

Previously, Malaysian cinemas and The Malaysian of Film Exhibitors (MAFE) pleaded with the government to re-open cinemas as the local film industry struggled to maintain its livelihood. Many cinemas were unfortunately shuttered during the MCO as they could not cover operating costs.

Will you be heading back to the cinemas this weekend? Which movie are you most excited about?
