In a reminder to Malaysians who may be considering to head back to celebrate the Ramadan festivities this year, the Defence Minister stresses that this continues to be forbidden as long as the Movement Control Order is in place. This issue was brought up during Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob latest live televised speech today as a reminder to Malaysians, given the fact that more people appear to be on the roads now than before.

He stresses that crossing state borders continues to be forbidden, as it originally had been during Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Movement Control Order, and will continue to be forbidden in Phase 3, which started on 14th April 2020.

“This means that movements in large groups to return to their home villages (for Ramadan) is forbidden.” he said.

So do be sure to keep that in mind, and continue to abide by all the rules as stipulated by the MCO!
