For those of you who have been growing out your hair to a point of going back into the 70s and joining a band, this piece of news might be worth noting!
In his latest televised press conference, our Defense Minister, Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, has mentioned that the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Nation Security Council of Malaysia is debating on whether barber shops and laundry shops may be allowed to operate in green zones within Malaysia.
There have been considerations made as to whether barber shops and laundry shops, as well as car workshops, might be allowed to operate in Green Zones should the MCO be extended beyond 14th April 2020.
“The SOP may be relaxed after observation in green zones. I am not saying that a decision has been made, but it is currently being discussed.” said our Defense Minister.
It is worth noting that these stipulations are not confirmed, as it is necessary to determine what is the best course of action to ensure that these green zones, where no cases of Covid-19 are reported, continue to remain without infections. Discussions are currently being made between both the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Security Council, according to China Press.
This decision will form part of the new guidelines that will be released on Thursday (9th April 2020) for the ongoing Movement Control Order that has been implemented in Malaysia since 18th March 2020.
