Get Your Heart Racing in Dubai! Here Are the Top 7 Extreme Adventures for M’sian Thrillseekers

Dubai has been one of the hottest (geddit?) travel destinations for Malaysians and for good reasons. But it’s not just for fashion enthusiasts and urban sightseeing – it’s also a fantastic choice for Malaysian thrillseekers with options aplenty! Here are some of the best adrenaline-pumping activities worthy of your consideration.

1. Race an F1 car at Dubai Autodrome

Feel the power and speed of driving an F1 car, a Ferrari GT or other supercars across the F1-certified race track of Dubai Autodrome – no special licences needed! Acquaint yourself with the beast-on-wheels during test laps and when you’re ready, floor your pedal to the metal for a thrilling bonafide F1 experience.

2. Embark on the world’s longest urban zipline

Take a glide across the cityscape at Xline Dubai, the longest urban zipline in the world, as you feel the need for speed zipping down at up to 80km/h and 170m from the Dubai Marina!

You’ll also be given a free-of-charge GoPro video to help you remember the time you ziplined from Amwaj Towers across the marina to the Dubai Marina Mall, and breathed in the stunning city skyline of Dubai.

3. Scuba dive indoors at the world’s deepest pool

Deep Dive Dubai’s depth of 60 metres is deep enough to house a ruined sunken city à la Atlantis – which it does. Explore abandoned hallways, dilapidated furniture, and hidden surprises that will keep you coming back for more. This isn’t just for seasoned divers; newbies are welcome too!

4. Go dune bashing in a 4×4 car, quad bike or buggy

Blast through the Arabian Desert in a 4×4 vehicle, as you hold onto dear life ascending hilly sand dunes and zipping down the other side at high speed like a sandy roller coaster. You can also add on quad bike or dune buggy rides and sandboarding with certain tour packages for an even fuller experience.

5. Take your breath away in a hot air balloon

You and your pals can devour the breathtaking panoramas of either the sleek Dubai skylines or the awe-inspiring desert sky high in a majestic hot air balloon. Whether you wanna snap pics of the iconic Burj Khalifa from afar, admire the intricately designed Palm Jumeirah Resort or be awed by the vastness of the Arabian Desert 4,000 feet in the air, look no further than this!

6. Skydive from 13,000 feet for a bird’s eye view of Palm Jumeirah

Feel the thrill as you admire a scenery like no other, plunging 13,000 feet above sea level towards the world-famous Palm Jumeirah with the Palm Dropzone. Aside from the iconic manmade archipelago, you’ll even get to soak in the sights of the Dubai skyline and beyond, including the neighbouring capital of Abu Dhabi and the world’s largest artificial island, the World Islands.

If sky-diving is uncharted territory for you, you can opt for the tandem skydive option and secure yourself to any of the instructors for the safest-but-still-exhilarating skydive experience.

7. Ride with Spider-Man and Powerpuff Girls @ IMG Worlds of Adventure
