It is already a known fact that we Malaysians are crazily in love with food. Whenever there is a food festival, trust that the event will be packed with hungry Malaysians looking to satisfy their taste buds.
So, imagine a food festival that brings together famous vendors from KL and Melaka… all in one place! On 14 and 15 July 2018, U Mobile will debut its #UnlimitedFlavours Festival at Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka. If you’re passionate about food, this is one festival you cannot miss.
Here’s what you can expect at the festival:
1. FREE soft serve!
The #UnlimitedFlavours Truck will be serving FREE ice cream from Softsrve, an artisan ice cream parlour that specialises in creating unique ice cream experiences. Better yet, you get to customise the ice cream to your exact liking!

The Base BBQ serves amazing western cuisine that ranges from burgers, hot dogs, pasta and the like. Many Malaysians who’ve visited their restaurant rave about their amazing food, especially their Iberico belly! So, be sure not to miss that one out!
ii) Big Bowl Ice
Need to cool off from our Malaysian heat? Get some scrumptious shaved ice from Big Bowl Ice that are topped with real fruits!
iii) myBurgerLab
Seriously, which foodie doesn’t know this brand? Famed for their black charcoal buns and super tasty burger patties, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this. PS: Their portobello fries are to die for!
iv) Nancy’s Kitchen
Nancy’s Kitchen specialises in Nyonya Peranakan food, cookies and Nyonya kuih. Using her recipe that has been passed down for three generations, trust us when we say the authentic Peranakan dishes made from fresh local herbs, spices and ingredients will send tingles through your taste buds!
v) Mango Float Royale
I’m sure the go-to drink for anyone visiting Melaka would be Klebang’s coconut shake. Well, there’s one more to add to the list now: Mango juice topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and real mango cubes. Need we say more?!
vi) Putu Piring Melaka
The famed Putu Piring Melaka has people queuing up to 40 minutes just for it – and they still consider it “worth the wait”! If you’re wondering why so many people are raving about it, then try it for yourself this weekend. Psst… it’s made with a generous serving of Gula Melaka by the way!
vii) My Chicken Rice
What is Melaka without a taste of their delicious fragrant chicken rice?! We highly recommend going for their ever so popular chicken rice balls!

Love cheese? Don’t miss this local treat with a twist – pisang goreng being served with cheese. Loads of it too!
ix) Miyakori Jonker
This Japanese fusion concept cafe is one of the best cafes in Melaka from Jonker that serves all kinds of coffee and non-coffee based drinks. Another must-have on their menu is actually their super scrumptious waffles!
3. Live screenings of the World Cup matches!
