Bored of all the regular malls around Klang Valley that seem very similar to each other with the same old stores inside? Well, if you’re like us, then this new shopping centre in Shah Alam is the breath of fresh air you need. In fact, when you step inside, it feels like a whole different country!
The first international mall by Central Group (owner of one of the largest shopping centres in Thailand, CentralWorld Bangkok), the recently opened Central i-City Shopping Centre promises you an experience unlike any other. All of their activities are even endorsed by Tourism Thailand weh!
From scrumptious and authentic Thai foods to unique Thai-themed workshops, here are 4 reasons to get excited about Central i-City Shopping Centre:
1. Amazing detailed replicas straight out of Thailand!

The most eye-catching part of the whole shopping centre has got to be the majestic traditional Thai village setpiece located at the Central Concourse of the shopping centre. Showcasing traditional Siamese architecture with exquisite precision, there is even a mini river with a floating wooden boat selling traditional Thai sweets ala Amphawa river market there. Wah!

Made out of different huts, each section is actually a booth that sells authentic Thailand products ranging from foods to clothes. All of the merchants are directly imported from Thailand too!

Besides the traditional and classical side of Thailand, there is also a replica of Bangkok’s colourful streets just opposite the traditional Thai village showcase, located at the Central Annexe of the shopping centre. Aptly named Bangkok Street Life, it gives you a first-hand experience of the day-to-day life in the country’s capital city.

Encompassing a range of replicas from a double-storey shophouse that sells imported Thailand products to a Bangkok bus stop and police stand, it’s really quite an accurate representation of a street in Bangkok.
Heck, there’s even a tuk-tuk for you to take a selfie with!
