Though Kuala Lumpur may not be the cleanest city in the world, not to mention Malaysia, as Malaysians we try our utmost best to keep it clean, or at least follow the rules when it comes to throwing our rubbish away.

The same however could not be said, as foreigners were spotted laying waste in our parks while Malaysians went away from Kuala Lumpur for the recently concluded Chinese New Year holiday.

A video on TikTok recently showcased this, a netizen explained just what happened around the city centre.

“Since we love foreigners so much, this is what’s happening around KLCC during Chinese New Year.”

“There’s rubbish everywhere,” said the TikToker.

Probably due to the lack of motivation to keep things clean, or possibly the absence of authorities, the area around KLCC became trash bins for people who visited the area during CNY holidays.

Let’s hope that the authorities will do something about this in the near future.
