A 38-year-old man was stabbed in front of his house in Kuantan by a 25-year-old suspect who was reportedly unhappy with the victim.
Kuantan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ashari Abu Samah, said that initial investigations revealed revenge as the motive behind the attack. He explained that the incident occurred on 31 October (Friday), when the suspect arrived at the victim’s house at 7 PM and told him to come outside, claiming that “his friend” wanted to see him.

When the victim refused, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife from his back pocket and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim, who works as a gardener, is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA) after sustaining abdominal injuries. His children reportedly witnessed the attack.
Victim previously reported suspect for drug offenses
According to Sinar Harian, Ashari said the suspect has since been arrested, and a 5-inch knife believed to have been used in the attack was confiscated.

“Investigations found that the incident stemmed from revenge, as the victim had allegedly lodged a police report against the suspect for drug-related activities,” Ashari said.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt using a dangerous weapon.
Earlier, a video of the stabbing incident involving the two individuals went viral on social media.
