A month after her disappearance, 22-year-old missing Min Yong has yet to be located, despite rumours about her being detained in Myanmar.

Yesterday evening (3 May), Min Yong’s father joined a live video with Singaporean actor, Wang Lei and revealed his final conversation with Min Yong before she left the house on that fateful morning.

“She left the house around 8 in the morning and told us that she was going to meet a client. She also told her mother that she would be home for dinner.”

She was also said to have planned to fetch her brother 3 days later. In the meantime, her father confirmed that despite Min Yong having taken her passport along, there are still no records of her leaving the country, as of today.

I want you to retire early, dad

Min Yong’s father later took out a small piece of note kept in a love-shaped envelope that his daughter gave him and revealed the supportive words that she has written. As he burst into tears, the man beside him read the note.

In the letter, Min Yong expressed her wish & desire for her father to retire early so that not only he does not need to work that hard anymore, but also for the family to reunite.

Last week, a politician claimed that his informants in Myanmar revealed that Min Yong was abducted and locked in a dorm room in the country. However, Min Yong’s father assured that the politician and his team have never contacted any of the family members to talk about the matter.

Min Yong’s father also debunked rumours that claimed he actually sent people over to Myanmar to investigate the matter.

He also denied that his daughter was kidnapped and that she had no arguments with the family prior to her disappearance.

“I’m just a construction worker and our family is not rich,” he said.

Come home, Min Yong

Near the end of the live video, when asked what does he have to say assuming Min Yong is watching the live video, the father said,

“Come home, Min Yong,” he said before bursting into tears again.

The father tried to speak further but he couldn’t. You can listen to the full live video below.

Despite the lack of traces of her whereabouts, we truly hope that Min Yong is safe and will return to her family soon.
