A Malaysian father in Malacca was arrested by the police recently for raping two of his daughters who are both under 18.

In a statement by PDRM in Malacca shared on its Facebook page, the deputy chief police of the state, Datuk Md Nazri Bin Zawawi said the 39-year-old accused was working as a security guard and had been sexually abusing his daughters since 2018.

His eldest daughter, who is turning 18 this year said that the abuse started years ago when she was only 12.

“The suspect started by touching her private part in 2018, and started raping her in 2020 when she was 14 years old. Everything happened at home,” Nazri said.

The victim had no choice but to keep the traumatic experience a secret but not until she found out her 13-year-old sister also suffered the same fate since July this year.

“The 2nd victim was asked to massage his dad’s feet before the latter started doing the immoral act.”

In a recent incident, the 2nd victim was asked to shower immediately after returning home from school before he raped her in the bedroom.

The 2nd victim initially kept the nightmarish incident a secret, which was only shared with her best friend. The latter then revealed the matter to their teacher, who then asked the victims’ mother to come to the school to discuss the matter.

Both victims couldn’t tell anyone out of fear of their father, who warned them to keep the matter a secret, including from their mother.

The suspect is now being remanded for 7 days (August 30 until September 5) and the matter is being investigated under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code (Rape and Sexual Assault Laws). He is facing a jail time of 30 years and 10 strokes of caning if found guilty.

A figure and a place that was supposed to be a shelter turned out to be a nightmare. We hope justice will be served for the victims.
