A staff member from Alliance Bank has tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from Sabah on 27 September.
In a statement published by Alliance Bank today (1 October), it was discovered that a “non-client facing employee of the Bank tested positive for Covid-19”. However, the bank assures the public that the employee was reportedly physically absent from work since 12 September, even before her trip to Sabah.
“Therefore, this employee has not had any physical contact with other employees at the office since then,” read the statement, as taken from China Press. As of now, the infected patient is currently being treated at an appointed government hospital.
Alliance Bank reassured its employees and clients that they will continue to observe all precautionary safety measures “in accordance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.”
Hopefully, she recovers soon! Stay alert and aware of the Covid-19 cases around you.
