Although our love for durian is undebatable, we still have to follow strict rules when it comes to bringing the fruit anywhere. “No Durian” signs are everywhere, from lifts to public transports. Recently, it was also discovered that durians are not allowed on Mars too. Well, according to a show on Amazon that is.
The Expanse is an award winning series on Amazon which revolves around three divisions of the human population; the people on Earth, the people on Mars and those who work in the asteroid belt.
In the 18th minute mark of the first episode of season 4, while the main character is in a futuristic train on Mars, the keen eye of Redditor, u/davidbydesign, spotted a familiar sign that Asians always see during our daily commute by the train which is the “No Durian” sign.
Either the production did not bother to cover the sign up or maybe in the future, the King of Fruits was successfully planted on Mars. We think it is the latter and migrating to Mars will be better if they have Durians too! Durians will take over the galaxy!
So are you a fan of the series on Amazon? If you are, did you notice the “No Durian” sign?
