Just after announcing the additional public holiday for Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the Unity Government has another surprise up their sleeves.

Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) has announced the Rahmah Toll initiative for 4 days starting this Wednesday (April 19). This means that for 4 days, tolls will be free!

Taking to a press conference, DSAI shared that the 4 days would be Wednesday (April 19), Thursday (April 20), Friday (April 21) and Monday (April 24). This initiative involves 33 highways all over Malaysia, for all classes of vehicles.

“This effort can reduce the cost of paying tolls for people who are returning to their hometowns to celebrate the festive season, as well as to make it easier for them to plan their journeys back to their hometowns,” he said.

Further details in regards to the implementation of the Rahmah Toll initiative will be announced by the Public Works Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi soon.

Selamat Hari Raya and do drive safe on your journeys home!
