A wedding day is not about happiness, but feeling touched also makes the day more memorable than ever.
Just recently, a Malaysian, Lysa took to her TikTok and shared a heartwarming incident that happened during her best friend’s wedding in Kuala Rompin, Pahang. As several states have been affected by the heavy rain and the flash floods recently, including Pahang, that did not stop the wedding from being carried on.
It was raining during the wedding which was held last weekend. The weather was not the only problem, but walking to the platform where the akad nikah would be held from the doorstep was also an issue as the ground was wet and puddled. Walking across the puddle would stain the bride’s shoes and wedding dress, but a man came to the rescue.
In the video, the man is seen carrying the bride and walking through the puddle in the rain until the bride is safe and unexposed to the rain under the canopy. Lysa was not the only one who was touched by what she saw, the bride herself also teared up a little.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Lysa said that the man who carried the bride was not her father like what many have perceived, especially in the comment sections. The man is actually the bride’s uncle.
“Her dad passed away in 2022 due to an illness,” Lysa said.
After her father’s death, the bride’s uncle took up the responsibility to care for her and being her wali (Arabic word for guardian & protector).
In the comment section, many Malaysians were also touched by the gesture of the bride’s uncle, which reminded them of their respective fathers.
“A dad’s love goes all the way to Heaven.”
“So good to have a dad.”
“A father’s love, although he’s just an uncle.”
“Who would be able to hold up their tears when your dad carries you during the wedding?”
