US President Donald J. Trump has expressed his desire for the war between Iran and Israel to come to an end.
Trump shared his stance on the matter via his Truth Social account, stating that he received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on the morning of June 14. The call, which was initially to wish Trump a happy birthday, reportedly lasted an hour and focused primarily on the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

āHe feels, as do I, that the war between Israel and Iran should end,ā Trump wrote. āI also told him that his war should end as well.ā
Trump was referring to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, which began in October 2022. However, he noted that the Ukraine war was not the main focus of their conversation.
āMuch less time was spent talking about Russia/Ukraine, but that will be for next week,ā he added.

According to Trump, Putin is currently facilitating prisoner swaps, with large numbers of prisoners being exchanged immediately from both sides.
Trump also mentioned that Iran was attacked again the previous night, but denied any US involvement. He issued a stern warning to Iran.
āIf we are attacked in any way, shape, or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.ā
Despite the tensions, Trump expressed optimism about resolving the conflict:
āWe can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict!!!ā
What do you think of Trump’s take on this?
