MPPn and PDRM take immediate action against upside-down Jalur Gemilang hung at a private dental clinic in Pontian, Johor

Taking to its official Facebook page, MPPn asserted that it received reports from the public about the upside-down national flag at the private dental clinic, which is located at the Pontian Commercial Centre.
Based on the viral photos and videos circulating online, the Jalur Gemilang was hung upside-down beside the Johor state flag, with the latter being displayed correctly.

MPPn further revealed that it dispatched two enforcement officers to the location after receiving the public complaint, and confirmed that the Jalur Gemilang was hung incorrectly. However, the premises were closed when the MPPn officers arrived.
MPPn and PDRM then contacted the staff of the private dental clinic to come to the premises. When a representative of the clinic arrived, the same staff who had incorrectly hung the Jalur Gemilang immediately rectified the error.

MPPn stressed,
“Corrective action was taken immediately against the upside-down Malaysian flag, and the position between the Johor and Malaysian flags was also corrected with instructions and joint monitoring by MPPn and PDRM.”
Afterwards, 4 individuals were taken to the Pontian District Police Headquarters for further investigation.
