The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) arrested a 41-year-old man after he was suspected of injuring a woman using an object believed to be a pistol grip in an incident near Jalan Kelawai, Penang, early Saturday morning (May 31).
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Timur Laut District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad, shared that the incident occurred at around 2:20am, after a disagreement on the road between the victim and the suspect.

“The victim, a 28-year-old woman, lodged a police report at 5:56pm on the same day, stating that she suffered serious injuries to her nose and eyes as a result of being hit with an object believed to be a pistol grip,”
“However, the suspect involved surrendered himself at the Timur Laut District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 9:30am this morning (Tuesday, June 3),” he explained.
As a result of investigations, the police seized a pistol, a bullet casing and a license book to own weapons and ammunition. This case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm and Section 34 of the Arms Act 1960.
How it all happened
Based on Harian Metro‘s report, the victim and 2 friends were travelling towards Tanjung Tokong when the car she was driving skidded into the middle lane, but the victim continued driving as usual. She then noticed a black Mercedes-Benz tailing her car before the luxury car overtook her and blocked her path.

The suspect, who is a Datuk Seri, allegedly shoved a shiny, gold-coloured gun into the victim’s mouth.
He was said to have pistol-whipped the victim twice on the left cheek and also hit the woman’s face repeatedly with his hand. Following the altercation, the woman was left with a broken nose and a bruised left eye.
The victim went to the Penang Hospital (HPP) to seek treatment before filing a police report, and alleged that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.
