We Asians have a tendency of taking off our shoes when going to certain places such as selected restaurants, homes and religious places.

These cute Thai children actually took off their shoes when entering a 7-11! Awwwww!

The images of the children went viral on Thai Internet, which led to the teacher that was with them writing a post to explain the story behind the viral photos.

So this group of children were actually on a rombongan with their teacher to the city. They came from the mountains and were so excited to see the buildings that they had only seen before from above.

So, as a little pep-talk, the teacher told the children this:

“We should always respect the place and so, before we go in anywhere, we must take off our shoes.”

The children listened very intently and when they were on the way to the city, they stopped at a petrol station for a little break. The teacher then told them about 7-Eleven and how it is a 24-hour convenience store, and that really fascinated them because they never had any 24-hour stores in the mountains.

The students were really excited and the teacher allowed them to visit the 7-E at the gas station while he went to the toilet. When he came out, he saw that they had taken off their shoes and placed them neatly on the floor mat.

He then asked them why they did that, and they answered:

“We must take off our shoes when going into a place to respect the place, teacher told us that.”

Awwwww, that’s so sweet!

Thai netizens were all commenting that the kids were very cute and that the teacher is a good teacher. We think so too!
