Couple Replaces Rose Water For Merenjis Ceremony With Hand Sanitizer In Light Of COVID-19 - WORLD OF BUZZ 3

In light of COVID-19, a lot of trips overseas, mass gatherings, social outings and even offices facing cancellations well as closure in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

However, the spread of COVID-19 did not stop this couple from celebrating their wedding, having adopted several prevention tactics to ensure the safety of all attending their ceremony.

Taking to Twitter, @amymedusaa share a video of how one couple exchanged rose water for their Merenjis ceremony with a hand sanitizer instead.

For those who are not familiar with the Merenjis ceremony, the ceremony usually involves both parents of the bride/groom and a few selected friends to sprinkle rose water and bunga rampai as a sign of blessing to the couple.

Of course, in line with COVID-19 prevention recommendations, instead of resorting to the sprinkling of rose water and shaking hands, in this video, all recommendations of prevention were met.

The video which was well received by netizens, witness several others commenting on what they saw at the wedding they attended during the spread of COVID-19.

One good thing that can be taken from all this is the fact that Malaysians are now becoming more and more aware of the threat that comes with massive gatherings in light of COVID-19.

It is better to be safe than sorry right?
