A 28-year-old man in Penang turned himself in to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) after murdering his wife and keeping her body at home for four days.
Following his confession, police officers rushed to his home and found his wife’s corpse with slash wounds on her neck.
The victim, Wan Khairul Safinah Ishak, was 44, and the couple had been married for two years. The suspect has been arrested and is currently under police custody for seven days to assist with the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, according to Kosmo!.

Before surrendering himself, the unemployed suspect stayed at home with his wife’s body.
When met by reporters at the hospital on Friday (12 December), the victim’s father shared his thoughts.
“He couldn’t stand other men talking to his wife, he’d get jealous.”
Seventy-six-year-old Ishak Man told the media that his son-in-law disliked seeing other men talk to his wife due to jealousy, but Ishak had no idea it was this severe.
“I thought they were doing okay. I was shocked when I heard the news,” he told Sinar Harian.

Ishak also said his son-in-law apologised to him for the murder when he was escorted to the police car after leaving the Forensics Unit at Hospital Seberang Jaya in Penang. The autopsy of the victim was completed, and she was buried in Kedah after Asar prayers yesterday.
Police are still investigating the case, and jealousy is believed to be the motive behind the murder. Stay tuned for updates.
