It’s pretty common for online retailers to hide product pricing in order for their customers to engage with them. However, not many consumers are in favour of this method as it is tedious to inquire about the cost of the products.
In a recent heated discussion, a Facebook page, PenMerahdotcom, posted two screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation between a customer and a seller. The conversation didn’t end that well when the shopper had a bad customer service experienced.
Essentially, the customer simply went straight to the point and asked the price of jackfruit chips, however, the seller dilly-dallied by asking irrelevant questions. Irritated by the seller’s responses, the customer simply withdrew from the conversation.
The Facebook post has now garnered over 2,200 comments and 1,4oo shares with many expressing their opinions on the matter. The comments are flooded with netizens showing support of the customer saying that there’s no need for a get to know session as it’s just a waste of time.
The problem is the seller didn’t put the price. When customers pm, the seller asks so many kinds of question to us. If I see an ad that doesn’t display the price, I surely wouldn’t buy it. I would instantly look at Lazada and Shopee. Settle.
I always get sellers like this. In the end, I just ignore them. Tomorrow, they’ll contact back again “Are you still interested?”. I don’t care anymore.
