Nothing else matters on your wedding day unless it’s something that can ruin the big day. Malaysian newlyweds ALMOST hit a dead end on their wedding ceremony but thankfully, the bride’s siblings band together to save the day!
One night before the wedding, the caterer, who was expected to prepare the dishes for a whopping 1,000 pax was not reachable via text or phone calls. After multiple attempts, the siblings decided to move along and rushed to the nearby supermarket to get as many ingredients as they could to cook the dishes for the guests.
In another sibling’s TikTok post, they were seen rushing to buy the necessities as it was already past the supermarket’s business hour! Back at home, the family members decided to keep trying, in the hope that they could reach the caterer but to no avail. They had officially gone missing in action, along with the RM13,000 payment that they had received from the newlyweds. As for the siblings, they summoned everything that had in their guts and did whatever they could to feed as many guests as possible.
“Some went out to find pieces of furniture, some were tasked to buy ingredients and disposable dishware,” Burhanuddin, the bride’s brother said.
They stayed up the entire night to cook and managed to prepare an estimated of dishes for 400 pax. Their efforts saved the day and there were still some leftovers after the wedding ceremony.
To quote Dr. Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, “Things have got out of hand”. Despite so, the wedding ceremony progressed smoothly and none of the guests complained about the food, but at the cost of their energies and the loss of RM13,000.
On the bright side, it shows that nothing is impossible if there’s teamwork, despite the 11th hour.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the bride’s elder brother, Najumudin said that as of now (December 26), the caterer has yet to respond.
“They blocked us everywhere.”
Najmudin also told WORLD OF BUZZ that her sister, who is also the bride had lodged a police report the night before the wedding when other siblings were tasked with their respective missions. You can watch the clip below where Najmudin and “his team” became their own caterer.

@najmudin.shukor Replying to @Dapur Molek Homemade apape pun dugaan, majlis tetap kita teruskan, barai no dua janji kita happy. Bab katering menipu kita selesaikan lepas majlis #abangsoya
The family’s teamwork and effort are truly admirable, and they’re no small feat. RM13,000 is no small amount, and we hope that the family can at least retrieve their money back!
