A man is receiving backlash online after he filmed himself harassing a disabled beggar at a market in Bentong, Pahang.
According to a report by China Press, the man allegedly questioned the beggar, who appears not to have legs, where he was from, and why he was begging in Cantonese, and even kicked the beggar’s arm as he was trying to shield himself from the man’s camera.

The man later uploaded the video, which he titled “Disgracing the face of Chinese people”, onto social media for a ‘public trial’.
In the video, the beggar can be seen covering his face with his arm while balancing himself on the ground with his other arm, while the man filmed and questioned him.
The man asked the beggar questions, including “Where are you from?“, “Why are you begging?“, “Can’t you work?” and “Why don’t you sell lottery tickets?“, and he even kicked the beggar’s arm with his foot in an attempt to show the beggar’s face to the camera.

The beggar, on the other hand, responded with, “What’s it got to do with you?“.
At one point, the man who was filming can be heard threatening the beggar by saying, “Do you believe I can kick you to sleep?“.
Many believed the man’s actions were too much
Rather than gaining support through the ‘public trial’, he received backlash from netizens who were outraged by his actions.
