If you’re thinking the chances of this happening to anyone is little to none, it really isn’t! A bride from Indonesia recently shared a video on her TikTok of her ex-boyfriend congratulating her at her wedding.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with her ex-boyfriend congratulating her at the wedding. But, what took many netizens by surprise was when the bride looked over at her husband and asked him if she could give her ex “just one hug”!

In the video, her ex-boyfriend was seen extending his hands to ‘salam’ but the bride smiled and turned to her husband to ask him, “Boleh dipelukkan sekali aja?” which translates to “Can I hug just one time?”
We’ve got to give credit to her husband for being so chill and allowing his bride to go for it. He stood there and watched them hug and when they were done, the ex-boyfriend turned to him to shake his hands too. The groom even went in for a hug!
Although nothing’s wrong with what happened here, netizens took to the comments section to express their shock!
Honestly speaking, this matter is pretty subjective. Although most netizens said that it’s wrong for the bride to put her husband in such a tough spot, some pointed out that her husband is probably just very secure. After all, she did ask him for his permission first.
