The poor boy was just trying to make a living, this is so sad.

On 23rd May, a bullying incident happened in a town named Putatan which is situated in Sabah. The incident was shared by a woman, Daylirn on Facebook and the post has since gone viral with 10,000 shares.

This is how it happened: Daylirn was walking around with her husband in town as they needed to get some kitchen supplies. Suddenly, they heard a scream and went to check where it was from. They finally found the source of the noise and it originated from a little boy sitting on a stairwell.

Concerned, the kind couple asks the crying boy what happened and he tells them that a kid came and destroyed a few packets of the chips that he was selling. The bully is of the same age and the couple (Daylirn is six months pregnant) set out to find him to give him a lesson. However, the bully had escaped rather quickly.

Daylirn’s husband then gave the poor boy RM10 to cover up his losses. They then asked him whether the bully comes often to which he said,

“Yes, this happens daily.”

“I set out to sell these keropok every morning at 8am and I only get to return home at 4-5pm in the evening.”

The couple was moved by how hardworking the boy is and decided to buy the remaining packs of chips that he had with RM63. They then offered him a car ride home and he was so happy as he got to go home early on the eve of Hari Raya Puasa.

As he didn’t want to trouble them, he asked to be dropped off near a pedestrian bridge.

Daylirn told WORLD OF BUZZ that they got about 20 packets of those chips from the boy so they distributed it among their family members. When asked about the incident, Daylirn says,

“One should always remember the existence of karma. So don’t bully or do bad things to other people or animals.”

The pregnant mummy has also revealed to us that they have 9 fur kids at home and most of them are rescued. Awwww, they really have hearts of gold!

We hope that the bully will not disturb the little boy anymore! We would also like to thank Daylirn and her husband Francis, for doing what they have done.
