Budget 2026: PMX Announces RM1 Billion Allocation for Ikhtiar MADANI Untuk Rakyat

According to Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, during the presentation of Budget 2026 in Parliament today (10 October), the government has taken measures to improve the management and straighten imbalances in providing more meaningful benefits to the people.

Anwar announced that next year, an allocation of RM1 billion will be provided in order to strengthen the Ikhtiar MADANI Untuk Rakyat initiative.

The Prime Minister added that the Sejati MADANI programme will be expanded to involve youth in community income-generating activities, such as vending machine projects or agriculture-related ventures, particularly fertigation systems.

Anwar also mentioned that national leaders and officials are directly addressing issues in villages and schools, with next year’s targets expanding to 500 Kampung Angkat MADANI and 1,500 Sekolah Angkat MADANI, including private sector involvement.

Companies and individuals with business income who contribute to the Kampung Angkat MADANI, Sekolah Angkat MADANI, or Sejahtera MADANI programmes will be eligible for income tax deductions.

“I would like to express my appreciation to everyone, especially corporate bodies, who have participated in the Ikhtiar MADANI Untuk Rakyat initiative,” Anwar said.
