During the presentation of the Budget 2024 initiative, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) shared that the government will continue to defend the people and prioritise services and projects that protect the welfare of the people, including improving our infrastructure.

In order to do this, the government has decided to repair and revitalise our public restrooms.

“It is unacceptable that all this time, we allow children to navigate through their schools with basic facilities like toilets being in broken and dilapidated conditions. Insya-Allah, the project to repair the toilets in 8,354 schools are almost completed this year,”

“Next year, the same determination will be strengthened to repair public toilets throughout the country. RM150 million has been prepared to repair and maintain public toilets through 150 local councils across the country,” DSAI said.
