Budget 2024: Education for ALL! Registration Fee for Public Unis Will NOT Exceed RM1.5K

Anwar announced that he will NOT allow any youth, especially those from low-income families to face hardships in their attempts to enroll into public universities.

“Lack of money to pay fees should NOT be an excuse for stopping them from enrolling into public universities.”

Starting January 2024, the registration fee for any public university should NOT exceed RM1,500. Those who cannot afford to pay the registration fee should still be allowed to enroll in the universities.

“The payment can be settled after the registration of the subjects. The welfare of the students have to be taken into account,” Anwar said in the Parliament today during the tabling of the Budget 2024.
