In Budget 2023’s presentation, the Ministry of Finance is making sure that no one is left behind. This time, Malaysians can expect to see improvements in healthcare facilities.
YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz announced that a whopping RM1.8 billion will be allocated to build more healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, and new facilities. New medical equipment will also be obtained.
Women’s & Children’s blocks are also mentioned in the budget. The health sector will receive a bigger allocation under the 2023 Budget with RM36.1 billion, compared with RM32.4 billion under the 2022 Budget.
Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Tunku Azizah Hospital, designated as centres for rare diseases, will receive an allocation of RM25 million for next year.
